I am an associate professor in
the Department of Mathematics at
The University of Texas at San Antonio
My research interests are in (1) error analysis for the finite
element method on anisotropic meshes;
(2) adaptive grid methods for the numerical solution of
time-dependent problems.
Here
are some examples using moving mesh method for
the adaptive mesh generation and the numerical solution of PDEs;
(3) the p-version of finite element method and spectral methods
applications to fluid
dynamics and nonlinear wave propagation; (4) iterative and parallel
solution techniques based on domain decomposition;
